Partners in Ag Innovation Conference – July 29, 2021

From Survive to Thrive

Please join us for the Partners in Ag Innovation Conference on July 29, 2021. The conference is co-hosted by MinnWest Technology Campus and The Kandiyohi County & City of Willmar Economic Development Commission (EDC) on an annual basis to bring the Ag and Animal Science community together regionally in Willmar, MN.

As we think about this year’s conference, we are still emerging from the fast-track of change and unexpected events brought on over the past year but we are feeling hopeful and ready to emerge on the other side. Through this difficult period, comes a time for transformation and growth. Let us take what we learn from 2020 and learn to not just survive…but thrive.

Speaker Mike Pearson will kick off this year’s conference with his presentation” What’s Driving Agriculture in the Year Ahead”. By July of 2021, the US will have had 15 months of dealing with the impact of COVID-19, 7 months under a new administration, and will likely still be in a period of elevated grain prices. Mike will outline some of the changes and challenges that have come from those factors. Inflation, ethanol, restaurant demand are all topics that agriculture should keep an eye on. Importantly, despite the disruptions of the past 18 months, agriculture in 2021 has a lot of reasons to be excited!
